1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to use the app where you live if that age is higher, to use Talking Jellyfish. By using the app, you confirm that you meet that requirement.
2. License and Scope
Talking Jellyfish is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded iOS devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store terms and standard End User License Agreement. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.
3. User Content
You retain any rights you hold in materials you provide. We do not claim ownership of generated outputs. You are responsible for having the rights, consents, and other lawful authority needed to use materials with the app.
4. Restrictions on Voice and Likeness Misuse
You agree to use custom voice and voice synthesis features strictly in compliance with applicable law. Specifically, you agree not to use the app to:
- Synthesize, clone, or simulate the voice of any individual unless you have all rights, permissions, consents, or other lawful authority required by applicable law.
- Engage in unauthorized impersonation, deception, fraud, or misrepresentation.
- Harass, abuse, intimidate, or infringe on the privacy or intellectual property rights of any person.
5. AI Outputs and Limitations
Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms.
Talking Jellyfish is AI software, not a human or licensed professional. Generated text and speech can be inaccurate, inappropriate, or harmful. You agree not to rely on outputs for medical, legal, financial, or emergency decisions, or other high-risk activities where accuracy is critical. Outputs are not medical care, mental health treatment, diagnosis, or professional services.
The app is not a crisis service and is not designed for crisis intervention. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line. Our Safety page describes the app's protocol and its limitations.
6. Plus Subscriptions
Plus is available through auto-renewable subscriptions billed by Apple. The available plans, price, billing period, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before purchase.
- Billing and renewal: Charges are made to your Apple Account under the purchase terms shown by Apple. Subscriptions renew unless canceled. If you accept a free trial, the subscription becomes paid at the displayed price when the trial ends unless you cancel in time.
- Cancel renewal: Use Apple's subscription settings to stop future renewals. Apple shows the effective end date. To avoid a charge after a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Withdrawal and refunds: For an Apple-billed purchase, use Apple's purchase-support route to request a refund or exercise an applicable withdrawal right. You can also contact us about your consumer rights. Stopping renewal and withdrawing from a purchase are different requests.
These Terms do not limit your rights under applicable consumer law.
7. System Requirements
Functionality and performance depend on compatible hardware, software, available storage, and downloaded model assets. Internet access is required for downloads and Apple purchase services.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains local processing, device permissions, support messages, and third-party services.
